The best time to know who your true friends are is during the time of adversity. When things are going bad, some friends (pretenders) disappear. But when things are going good, the pretenders reappear. 
Some christians are like a chameleon. They are easily given to change. They profess to love Christ when things are boom. But when adversity comes, they renounce their faith.
